Question: Can we bring our dog?

Answer: No. We’d appreciate that Fluffy and/or Rocko be left at home or with a friend.

Question: Will there be an ATM machine on the grounds?

Answer: Yes. There will be a ATM on the grounds.

Question: Will there be a beer gardens?

Answer: Yes. We have partnered with Pacific Brewing Company to ensure that a beer garden will be available on site.

Question: Will there be a lock-up area for bikes?

Answer: No. We are not in a position to take responsibility for others property.

Question: Are the Tall Ships accessible to people in wheelchairs?

Answer: The ships are not accessible on the decks, but they are within reach of all disabled individuals on the docks.

Question: How many tall ships will be attending and can you berth them all?

Answer: There will be 11 tall ships in attendance. Berths 1 & 2 are 320 meters (1,050 ft.) Berth 3 is 183 metres (660 ft) in length. Depth alongside ranges from 11.4 metres to 12.2 metres (37.5 ft – 40 ft) at Low Water. We’ll be using moorage within the marina as well.

Question: When will tickets be available on line?

Answer: Tickets are now available at The Tall Ships Office on the Quay, Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce and Port Alberni Echo Centre as well as at the gate on the days of the Festival.

Question: Are tickets available for the evening cruise and Gun Battle?

Answer: Book an Evening Cruise aboard the Lady Washington or Hawaiian Chieftain by visiting their websites listed on the Ships pages. The cruises start at 6:00 pm on the Friday or Saturday.

Question: How long will we have to wait to get onto a ship?

Answer: The longest wait in 2005 was about 10 minutes. You can expect the same in 2008.
